The first thing I noticed about the cardboard was the corrugation in the middle. Part of the top had been stripped away, leaving the corrugation showing. In comparison to the seashell, it was nearly identical the the pattern, although on a larger scale.
The seashell was a bit more complex than a piece of corrugation between two slices of cardboard paper. To start with, the seashell curves in on itself toward the back end of the shell, with the pattern on the top converging to a single point at the end of the curve. In addition, the underside of the shell is certainly very different from the top side. There is no pattern, but instead it is smooth. The shell itself is almost like a distorted half-sphere, smooth on one side but tapered to more of a point on the other.
